Kilimanjaro Kibo North Circuit [8 days]

Climb Kilimanjaro via its quietest and most varied route on an extended itinerary, giving eight days on the mountain to see and experience more of Kilimanjaro. Taking in the Shira Plateau and the Western Face, we then follow the isolated and rarely trod Kibo North Circuit path to the Saddle, enjoying views of Mawenzi on the way to summitting one of the seven continental summits.
Kilimanjaro Machame Route [6 days]

Reach the top of one of the seven continental summits after starting in the forested foothills. Climbing onto the Shira Plateau, this route takes us under the imposing west face with its glaciers, buttresses and cliffs as we follow the Kibo South Circuit path before ascending to Stella Point on the crater rim on the way to the summit. This is a well-established and popular route taking in a lot of Kilimanjaro on the way to its summit.
Kilimanjaro Rongai Route [6 days]

Summit the world’s highest free-standing mountain by way of the quite north-eastern Rongai Route, overlooking Kenyan plains and traveling through lush forest then alpine moors up to the rest day at Mawenzi tarn at the foot of impressive Mawenzi, Kilimanjaro’s most dramatic peak. Then cross the Saddle experiencing alpine desert before ascending the highest mountain in Africa for far reaching views at sunrise. An unforgettable, classic adventure.

Our trips include all meals and cooks and porterage as well as senior and junior guides, according to group size all of whom are paid at least the park’s recommended wage rates. Incidental drinks and any hotel/lodge refreshments, snacks and meals not detailed in the itinerary are not included.

Our walking and trekking adventure holidays range in size from a minimum of 4 people and a maximum of 12 people. Adhering to group sizes minimises the environmental impact and allows everyone to get to know each other in a relaxed and friendly manner.
Should you wish to travel in a larger group (schools, charity etc), or a smaller group of close friends please contact us and we can discuss various tailormade options.

Adventure holidays come with demanding days, specifically whilst trekking at high altitude. As our guest’s safety is imperative, we limit the ages of our trekkers to a minimum of 14 years and maximum of 75 years. Additionally, travellers over 65 need to meet the requirements of our insurance provider and are required to pay an increased premium.

Trip prices are typically quoted per person and generally include transfers to/from local airports, ground transport, meals, accommodation (based on two people sharing), trip leader/head guide and local support crew including drivers, guides, cooks, porters etc (and other porterage as detailed in the trip itinerary).
Safety on our adventure holiday trips is of the utmost importance, and a key area influencing this is the size and quality of our support crew on the mountain. Our trip prices include for a full quota of senior and junior guides, cooks and porters according to group size, and for all paid at least the park’s recommended wage rates.
Our trip prices do not include travel insurance, single supplements or any requested extras, incidental drinks and any hotel/lodge refreshments, snacks and meals not detailed in the itinerary, National Park fees not detailed in the quote (sometimes to be paid to us separately in addition to the trip price), tips, cost of passports or visas, personal medication and vaccinations, phone calls, souvenirs, laundry, clothing & equipment required for the trip, excess baggage, any local airport and /or departure taxes collected at the airport.

A passport, to be valid for no less than 6 months prior to expiration, is required to enter Tanzania and Kenya.
Currently, visas for Tanzania and Kenya are required to enter each country & travellers are advised to check the Visa requirements before leaving their country to ensure trouble-free entry into Tanzania and/or Kenya.
Responsibility for satisfying the requirements for passports and visas for Tanzania and Kenya is with the traveller.

There are certain vaccinations & health requirements that are required when visiting Tanzania and Kenya and your local doctor’s surgery has access to the most recent travel health advice. Typically, these include but are not limited to tetanus, polio, typhoid, hepatitis A and yellow fever vaccinations, in addition to anti-malaria medication.
Standards of health and hygiene can often differ in from those at home for peace of mind, it can be beneficial to consider booking a health and dental check-up before you travel to ensure you are fit and healthy before the trip.

These demanding days, where flexibility and patience are imperative, are an integral part of adventure travelling. Our trips involve activities that carry potential risks however we do all we can to guide and inform you of the potential risks, all of which can be minimized by carefully following the instructions and advice of your trip leader.
Weather can change quickly; transport on poor roads can be uncomfortable, communications can be unreliable; however, it's this unpredictability of trekking in Africa that make it such a rewarding experience. Its these factors that enrich your trip and provide amazing memories of your African adventure holiday.

Once you have chosen your trip and received a quote, we recommend studying the detailed trip itinerary and our Adventure Travel Note as well as the Booking Conditions, which will ensure the suitability of your chosen trip.
A Booking Form will be emailed to you, which you will need to complete and return so that we can issue a booking receipt.
After a trip quote has been approved, you will be required to transfer 40% of the total trip price in advance, with the remaining balance due upon arrival in Arusha.
Extend your Tour
We want to ensure that you get the most of your time in Africa and offer several trip extensions. Our extensions include an extra day spent on safari at Arusha National Park, a four-day trip to the Ngorongoro Crater, Tarangire and Lake Manyara National Parks as well as three days on the beautiful spice island of Zanzibar. We pride ourselves on offering flexibility and will be happy to discuss your specific requirements for your trip extension.
